Getting thrown into the adult world can be tough, especially in these times. We teach students how to make smart decisions, how to identify & avoid bad influences, and how to keep tabs on their mental health.
Kyle Evanko
Professional Life: Kyle is a business-owner having Cofounded crackerJCK, an industry-leading social media marketing agency. In 2017, he helped lead TikTok’s growth as the company’s 10th US employee. In his career, Kyle has worked on campaigns for Google, Uber, Indeed, MrBeast, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Lizzo, Adidas, and 200+ other entities of all sizes.
He is also one of the most successful freelancers on the remote-work platform Upwork earning over $500k and was recently featured in Business Insider highlighting his entrepreneurial journey. He first began his professional work as a private tutor at the age of 15, and has worked ever since, including throughout college.
Educational Life: Kyle graduated from UC Berkeley’s exclusive Haas Business School in Winter of 2016, finishing his degree a semester early. He was actively involved in student leadership and extracurriculars on campus. He secured a highly-coveted consulting internship with leading firm Oliver Wyman in NYC before deciding to return to SoCal after graduation.
While in high school, Kyle served on the school board of Temple City Unified School District (SoCal) as a voting student member. He also led the award-winning school newspaper Rampage and brought the publication online in 2012. Additionally, he served as a youth city council leader — a volunteer position with the local municipal government. He passed 13 AP Exams in high school and was able to earn enough credit to enter college as junior-standing.
A life-long mentor, he taught one of his closest friends how to read in the 1st grade at the age of 6. He holds his TESOL / TEFL Teaching Certificate (150-hour course).
Joseph Jung
Professional Life: Joseph is a real-estate investor and co-owner of a local butcher shop located in Rosemead, CA. He currently manages 4 of his properties, building a long-term investment portfolio over time. Joseph also works full-time as an analytics lead within Wells Fargo’s commercial credit risk division. Prior to Wells, Joseph worked as a Sales & Marketing strategist for two leading automotive companies: Honda and Toyota.
Joseph also started his career as a private tutor at the age 15, helping students build study skills and critical thinking abilities. He has since helped his nieces, nephews, and family-friends navigate their high school, college and career paths. He has a passion for teaching others about investing and smart money management.
Educational Life: Joseph graduated top of his class from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Economics, Class of 2014. With his passion for education, he decided to pursue a Masters Degree in Data Science at the University of the Pacific, San Francisco. Joseph held leadership roles in his professional fraternity and finance clubs.
In high school, Joseph tutored peers and younger students. While he took 10 AP Classes throughout high school and worked-part time, he often struggled to find his footing trying to juggle everything at once. Looking back, he wishes he had a mentor to guide him through the process, and since then has helped others think critically about what success means and how to achieve it to the best of their ability.
